The Ethiopian Highway Project is a collaborative initiative between CDPH (Chengdong Prefabricated Housing) and a Spanish joint venture contractor.

CDPH (Beijing Chengdong Prefabricated Housing) was responsible for the comprehensive design, supply, and delivery of a 12,447-square-meter integrated prefab housing solution to support the highway construction project.

The project includes two separate camps: Bure Camp and Nekemte Camp, each comprising modules for on-site offices, worker and manager accommodations, laboratories, warehouses, and other support facilities.

CDPH deployed a combination of prefabricated houses and steel structures to meet the diverse functional needs of the camps.

Due to the tight schedule and complex project requirements, the client—introduced by one of our long-term partners—chose CDPH for our proven expertise in camp design and execution. Within just one month, CDPH completed the full camp layout design, cost estimation, and contract confirmation, ensuring all deliverables were executable and compliant with project specifications. Our deep understanding of the Ethiopian market and extensive experience in camp constructions enabled smooth and rapid project execution.

During the implementation phase, our cross-functional team—including project management, production, and quality assurance—ensured on-time delivery. All products passed inspection by both the client's representative and an independent CIQ third-party quality inspector.

At the installation site, CDPH’s logistics team and professional technical supervisors provided timely support, earning high praise from the client for service quality and efficiency.

This successful execution significantly enhanced CDPH’s reputation with the Ethiopian Roads Authority and local government, laying a solid foundation for future prefab housing collaborations in Ethiopia and strengthening our presence in Africa.
